CASE CLOSED

Account and Data Deletion

Effective date: July 15, 2026
Last updated: July 15, 2026

Delete Your Account in the App

Sign in to Case Closed, open Account, select Delete Account & Stored Data, type DELETE, and enter your current password. The deletion request is processed by the server and cannot be undone.

What Is Removed

The deletion process immediately removes the account and user-linked records that can reasonably be removed, including authentication, password-reset, verification, notification-center records and preferences, registered push tokens and push logs, friend relationships and requests, direct case invitations, notebook, game-participation, game-message, rating, case-history, progression, achievement, Evidence Locker, Daily Mini Mystery, Interrogation Challenge, Evidence Sorting, support, purchase-event, purchase, entitlement, and policy-acceptance records. Security audit records linked to the account may remain in anonymized, non-account-identifying form. If the account moderated a game, that game is ended and its required moderator reference is reassigned to a deleted-user placeholder.

What Is Not Cancelled

Deleting a Case Closed account does not cancel a Google Play subscription and does not delete records Google Play keeps under its own payment, refund, and subscription policies. Manage Google Play subscriptions and refund requests through Google Play.

Limited Retention

Temporary backups and records retained for security, fraud prevention, dispute handling, or legal obligations may remain for a limited period where applicable. If you cannot sign in, request help through the email address associated with your account by contacting support@caseclosedapp.com.
